"BIGFOOTS, BACKWOODS, AND NOTHING HONEY" by Don Zorn.

If you ever wonder over to the Animal Planet channel, they had several "paranormal shows" on there like "The Haunted", and the ultra stupid "Mermaids: The Body Found". So I had to sit down with my pack of Marlboros, and my bottle of Jack Daniels to force myself to watch which has to be one of the dumbest shows by a crew of waterheads yet to grace our television screen since Milli Vanilli videos. "Finding Bigfoot" is an hour of grunts, grins, constipation, and "what was that?" bullshit. And that was just in the commercials.

This trainwreck in the tall timbers follows four sasquatch searching air space occupiers as they criss cross the country to find the "elusive" Bigfoot, Skunk Ape, Ellen DeGeneres, whatever. And they have people watching this canned and scripted turd wagon. I mean, when something stinks, it ain't Bobo farting in the deep woods after eating tree bark. I was expecting Yogi the Bear and Boo Boo pissing in a stream. But the stumbling and bumbling Bobo has no Bozo big shoes to trounce around in.....

So let's take a look at the cast of "characters":

Matt Moneymaker, the head cheese of the "Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization". Cliff Barackman, a "researcher", oooh big whoopdy doo. James Fay, AKA "Bobo", the bigfoot version of Scooby Douche and stand in for recreations (that is if he isn't faking this hairy hippie). And last Renae Holland, "the skeptic", and has about as much sex appeal as Steve Buschemi with lipstick on. They creep around in playgrounds, backyards, hills and hollers, looking for Boris Karloff's fourth cousin, twice removed who hasn't bathed in thirty years.

So the whole show goes in the same boring circle every episode. They go to where a bigfoot was allegedly seen, have a big Q&A session with town people, go out into the woods, strap on cameras left over from MTV's "Fear", and go out into the night looking for Harry of the Hendersons. Smack that tree, look scared, "what was that?", and pick up suspected shit from a "squatch". No doubt that's shit alright. Not just the turd in your lunch bag, but the whole show itself. The hair, bet it was from Bobo after he combed his back.... Evidence found? Nope. Just Hollywood gimmicks. Am I saying that Bigfoot doesn't exist? I'm not saying that either. Until I see it with my own two baby blues, I leave the option open.

Look, it's all about entertainment value. Look, they brought over "Turtleman" on a cross over event for one show when they were in Kentucky (which makes great bourbon I might add) like "Ghost Hunters" and ECW did on those "live" episodes. And they looked like a bunch of hunting hillbillies looking for a bag of crystal meth. And I forgot, they used Louisville Slugger baseball bats on trees to "communicate" with the bigfoots. Kinda reminded me of seeing something like that on a Bugs Bunny cartoon once. Wow, now there's an original idea. "It's a long fly pinecone, deep down the creek bed, going, going......"

So there it is, short and sweet on my take of "Finding Bigfoot".

They might have a better shot at finding Jimmy Hoffa, or Elvis Presley, or the Tooth Fairy.

Just ask Geraldo Rivera how looking for Al Capone's vaults went....

ASYLUMS OF SOUTHERN FRIED WANNABES by Don Zorn.

"Ghost Asylum" on Destination America.

Poletergeists and possum gravy......Hooooo Weeeee.......

"Hey Y'all! You have any Creme Della Creme?"

Are you fucking kidding me? First we had to endure "Deep South Paranormal", and the backwoods bumpkin whoopty doo, now as the deep fried roadkill is cooling in the deep fryer, we have another scripted trailer trash chasing bunch of Appalachian Americans that shit their Halloween costumes with each and every small noise. As the old Saturday Night Live character, Leonard Pynth Garnell once quipped, "Truly Bad Playhouse".......

The "Tennessee Wraith Chasers" with their buff beer guts, bird nest beards, and looking like Grizzly Adams' offspring interbred with the Oak Ridge Boys, stars in this cross between "Ghost Hunters", "Ghost Adventures", "Ghost Lab", and "Home Improvement". Christopher Smith and Steven McDougal, Founders. Scott Porter, Historian. Chasey McKnight and Brannon Smith as the "builders". Wow, a hodgepodge of haunt hunting hillbillies running around in old abandoned crazy houses, hospitals, and nut hatches.
So here we go with another "show" using the over rated K-II meter, Mel Meter, the useless and cheap Gauss Meter.  This major waste of network airspace is a frigging joke, and not everything is demonic, you backwoods stump humpers....

First of all, Chris Smith, you need to lose the left over smedium shirts and the steroids from Zak Bagans and learn how to stop trying to act like Waylon Jennings. The hairgel is probably copyrighted by Zak too dude.....

Just my brief opinion on this "show"..........

1.) Talking on the CB radio has been done on "Ghost Hunters" and "The Dukes of Hazzard" already. Get original already.

2.) In order to keep my interest in your show, you need some eye candy. Bigger boobed blondes that wear bikinis are a plus.

3.) Break out the moonshine. Seriously, you guys can't fucking act, and you actually might be entertaining if you were shit faced, and could really turn this sleepy time into a hootinanny........

4.) You're poor attempt at a "protection prayer" is as convincing as "professional wrestling", NASCAR, and the Tooth Fairy.....

5.) To be more convincing, get your own vehicles. Switching between Chevys and Ford pickups only proves that this future train wreck is all set up.

6.) How many goobers are going to believe that X-Rays, and other personal information is going to be left in these "asylums" and hospitals? Stop with the douchebag theatrics, and get this nightmare over with.

7.) You are not the "A-Team". Frankly you are only pissing off Mr. T. and he wants his tool box back. Instead of being like Tim Allen meets Betty Crocker, focus on trying to get real "evidence", not playing Handy Andy......

So there you have it. Short and sweet. Just like the run of this hillbilly hauntfest. Just so the hauntbilly hunters and their kin can understand. Destination America is so desperate to put out a "ghost show", that it has no original thought. Time to call the network, and see if they will start airing "Most Haunted" reruns. At least the Brits were funny when they faked shit........

"ONE LITTLE BRICK STARTED IT ALL" by Josh Weinstein.

As an independent filmmaker, I was in Las Vegas, Nevada for a film makers convention in the early 2000's. Like many of us who were networking to find jobs within the entertainment or documentary industry, I wanted to present the best case for my former company as I could. During which time, we partied with others who were shopping their wares, and with producers for networks. And this is when I first met three guys who later became larger than life in a genre of television that was about to take off.

I was walking through the convention hall, and still remember to this day of these guys having a large sign saying, " Will Make Any Film For Money". I found it rather amusing three college age guys who were ready to sell their souls to make a film, but kinda wish I had that thought myself. About two years later, I was skimming through the channels, and came across a commercial for a new ghost hunting documentary called "Ghost Adventures" on SciFi Channel. And when I saw who was going to be in it, I immediately recognized the the trio from the convention, and their sign selling their wares. At that moment, I set my VCR to record it, since I was going to be in Vancouver for another project. And to my surprise after watching it, I was amazed at what they went through.

By the beginning of 2005, I was assigned to begin a documentary on gold mining, and the old west towns that began, lived, and died from the gold mining boom of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I spent weeks travelling the back roads of the American West. Staying in cheap motels, eating in hole in the wall diners, I would meet with historians, miners and their families, and townspeople who remained in these towns. It was on one long drive I made through the Nevada desert when I came upon the town of Goldfield. If you have never visited Goldfield, it's in the middle of nowhere. It contains probably the world's largest junk yard of decaying mobile homes, cars, and other rubbish. The streets are like from the Old West. Literally dirt, smelling of urine, spilled beer, and broken glass. As I drove through town, I saw in the distance a large brick structure, the Goldfield Hotel.

Put onto the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the Goldfield was far from the once luxurious hotel she once was. As I turned onto Crook Avenue, I remembered this was the place where the "Ghost Adventures" documentary was filmed. So I parked my rental car, and grabbing my camera, I strolled around the property taking photos.

As I made my way back to the car, I was approached by a gentleman that resembled one of the character actors who played in Hollywood's Westerns of years gone by. We struck up a conversation, and after telling him what I was doing for our documentary for the Film Commission, he explained to me that he was the owner of the Goldfield. As we were talking, I could hear the disappointment in his voice. And later I found out the reason why.

Asking me not to video or photo our conversation, he began to tell me what really happened at the Goldfield.

He began to tell me of the troubles in getting the historic hotel reopened. The structural damage on the upper floors, lacking of heating and air conditioning, and deteriorating walls with peeling lead paint to name a few. He tried to get other investors to help, help from historic societies, and the State of Nevada, to no avail. And then they came......

About a year before the GA documentary appeared on SciFi, the three film makers came to Goldfield and approached Red. They came to film a documentary about haunted places, and after hearing of the tales behind the "hauntings" at the Goldfield. They offered to pay him $200 to film there. Never looking at a gift horse in the mouth, he took them up on the offer. They set up to begin filming. They interviewed the townspeople, and interviewed him. They came back with hardware to install a padlock on the front door. This was used for filming. He later told me that even though for filming purposes that they were "locked in" the hotel, in actuality, the rear employee entrance was unlocked so they could go to their vehicle. He locked them "in", and went home. The next morning, he entered the rear of the hotel, where all three of the film makers were sitting around joking about their night.  They left later that morning, and went back to a nearby motel to sleep it off for a few hours.

Red went through the property to make sure it was secure. And then he waited to see what was about to transpire. The documentary later aired, and much to his disbelief, saw something that was unnerving, a brick allegedly being "thrown" across the room. That sent up red flags, and never again he thought, would allow such shenanigans be done in the hotel again. After the show ended, the next morning he went to the basement, and searched for any bricks that would have sailed like the one in the documentary. After searching the basement room thoroughly, he came upon a brick with two holes drilled in at differing angles. It looked as if it was battered, with gouge marks and chips. And that's what hit him, that this was the "brick" that was used in the documentary. And he was livid. Is this to say that it was used as a stunt? Was there fakery involved? You decide. For now the brick resides on a workbench as a souvenir to a supposed "paranormal event".....

He later explained that the attention has been a blessing and a curse. The blessing is that numerous paranormal events and numerous groups book events and investigations there, but the curse of having to fend off vandals and trespassers. I can fully understand his frustration about all this unneeded attention. As we walked through the former lap of luxury, the grandeur is long gone. Broken walls, decayed flooring, peeling paint, and the smell of vermin takes away any vision of return to the former elegance this historic hotel once had. And he was reluctant to allow for a second "investigation" by GA. But needing an influx of cash, Red made it known he was not happy with the "flying brick" debacle. No flying objects have ever been encountered with I was assured.....

So if you go go the Goldfield Hotel, be respectful to the folks in the town of Goldfield, Red Roberts, the spirits that may haunt the hotel, but especially respect the hotel itself. Don't break in, nor trespass.

No matter how many smedium shirts you may wear, how many Mark McGuire laden armcurls you can do, or how much hair gel you use in your faux hawk, your little secret is out there.

So here's to another ten years of laughing your way from the small screen, to the convention floor, to the bank. All at the expense of young, impressionable teenagers.

Oooo wee yooo, dressed like Buddy Holly........

Resurrection Talent LLC and the Paranormal RipOffCons.... by Stuart Michaels.

Mark and Debby Constantino are some of the most respected professionals in the paranormal field. In a turn of events, they among other paranormal stars, attended the Dia De Los Muertos Paranormal Conference in San Antonio Texas in November 2013. Many who attended like the Constantinos, were represented by Resurrection Talent LLC, and the owner / operator Lara Calhoun.

It appears that many who are up and coming paranormal stars are represented by Resurrection / Calhoun. But after attending this conference, many of the guests were not paid / compensated for their expenses. Now there are more accounts of the bungling by Resurrection / Calhoun.

Here's what the Constantinos had to say about the sham. This is what transpired on their Facebook page:

would like to take a moment to speak my mind & vent about yet another evil presence in the paranormal field.

This is not Paranormal but unfortunately Normal...

We did a Conference in San Antonio Texas for Lara Calhoun & Ressurrection Talent LLC.

Lara clearly Knew our needs & Clearly knew what we required. Not only did she not come up with her end of the bargain but we have since e found out she has screwed 3 others that we know of in the field.

Not only has she not gotten back by text, e mail or messenger but Ms Calhoun has posted that she & her daughter were involved in a car accident "hit by an 18 wheeler" while we would like to believe her & give her the benefit of the doubt.

Could she just be in hiding & have posted this so that people like us who she Screwed over might look like Monsters trying to get what is owed us???

Well, I must say, if she is able to post on Facebook, then she IS able to return calls....

I guess she must be paying rent... this is an obligation . SO IS PAYING PEOPLE SHE HIRES !!

We are all due At least a phone call. All involved are easy to work with & will accept payments. but to completely cut off all communication & leave us all screwed is completely Wrong & Out of line.

It is very sad that it is possible she was in a fender bender but you know what... we are still owed money as well as an explanation!!

I hesitate to bring this to light as to Some people" Any Notoriety Is BETTER than none"

But she needs to be called out as to not continue doing this to people that held up their end of the bargain.

The main reason we are bringing this to light is because by the Grace of God we have a following & a voice. We Don't want to see this happen to any other good people in the field.

Even her clients are jumping ship. Former client of Resurrection / Calhoun, Chris Vickers states on his Facebook:

I Chris Vickers am no longer being represented or associated with Resurrection Talent,LLC as of today. I am now being represented by Ingenuity Talent and Media from here on in.

This is is one account by David M. Dossett on Mark and Debby Constantino's Facebook page:

I did one of her first events SLOSS Alabama in 2012 and as promised to do this event as a celebrity guest to get paid amount for my appearance after the investigation she tells me I don't have the money to pay you. Well I was fucking pissed off because I used the last of my money that was being saved to pay a medical bill because my wife was pregnant at that time with problems were I almost lost my daughter and I did this event because I thought Lara Calhoun was a friend and trusted her to pay me back and when she told me after the investigation she had no money I was furious because I could now possibly lose my daughter because I don't have the money to cover the treatment. Thank god my family came threw unlike a con- artist like Lara Calhoun my family helped to cover my loss from doing this event. Since then I saw Lara Calhoun at STU-CON and Las Vegas Para-Con with anger burning in my blood she came and kissed my ass at both events promising to pay me my money and after the event I never heard from her since I text and called her and nothing. I thought I was the only one that this happen to and now I see how this person is and doing the same thing to other people. KARMA is coming for her so people put he word about her and tell the truth about this con-artist before she fucks over more people . I had to vent once again about this.

Now it looks like a potential lawsuit is brewing.......

Is there any friends from Los Angles who can share the contact info for The Municipal Court Please message. As I keep getting recordings...
It is pertaining to Small Claims for the zip code 90013
Thank You All Sincerely for your help
